I’m Megan, an ER nurse, new mom, and soon-to-be board-certified Lactation Consultant. After my own experience with a colicky baby, I realized the importance of supportive resources for parents. I now run @thecolicnurse on Instagram, providing guidance for navigating colic. With my ongoing training in lactation, I’m excited to expand my support to breastfeeding moms too. Whether you’re dealing with colic or breastfeeding issues, I’m here for you!

I’m Megan, your typical midwesterner who loves a good scoop of gelato. I’m your dance-in-your-kitchen-to-Whitney-Houston kind of girl. My nursing journey began at Primary Children’s Hospital while I was in nursing school, and in 2020, I was thrilled to graduate from BYU’s nursing program. Since then, you’ll find me in the hustle and bustle of Salt Lake Valley, working as an ER nurse.
In 2021, I became a mom to a precious baby girl who, bless her heart, was colicky. Boy, did that come with a steep learning curve and a heavy dose of delirious sleep deprivation! Surviving that period made me realize how essential it is for parents of colicky babies to have access to support, education, and resources. And I wanted to be that source of help.
Now, I run @thecolicnurse on Instagram, sharing advice, offering support, and building a community for parents navigating colic with their little ones. Plus, I’m currently working toward becoming a board-certified Lactation Consultant. I’m excited to bring that additional layer of expertise to my mission of supporting parents. So whether it’s colic or breastfeeding you need help with, I’m here for you!
