Hello, I’m Angie, and I’ve been a birth doula since 2003. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in over 40 hospitals and birth centers, supporting thousands of families through labor, birth, and postpartum. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University, where my research on breastfeeding trends sparked a deep passion for supporting families. I furthered my education with a Master’s degree in Maternal and Child Health from Bastyr University in 2020, analyzing data from my practice to highlight the significant impact doulas have on birth outcomes.
My professional journey includes a 600-hour lactation internship in North Carolina, which was a pivotal experience. Now, as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I’m thrilled to expand my services to include comprehensive lactation support. My goal is to empower families with education, compassionate care, and evidence-based practices, guiding them towards successful and fulfilling breastfeeding experiences.
Outside of my professional life, I find joy in the outdoors—gardening, hiking, camping, backpacking, and snowboarding. As a mother of five, my children, who ranged from 10 to 26 years old and were all champion breastfeeders, are my greatest joy. I also host The Ordinary Doula Podcast and train birth doulas, extending my support to families and professionals alike.
I am honored to be part of your journey to parenthood, providing compassionate, expert support every step of the way. Let’s work together to make your breastfeeding journey a successful and enjoyable one.
